Today is day 1 of my 4-6 week quarantine. I won’t be leaving the house for anything except exercise, bike rides, etc… and perhaps a toilet paper run.
We’re all in uncharted territory here. Whether you have an essential job or not, I think all of our lives have been altered, or will be.
I’ve been thinking about what I’ll do while at home. I have some big revisions to tackle on my early work. I also plan to write most of a new novel while I’m off, titled I Love You, I Need Him, which you can pre-order here.
Tomorrow is April and that means it’s National Poetry Month, so Kat Savage and I will have poetry prompts to share with you.
I started my instagram account six years ago, and thanks to you, my followers, I launched a writing career. It’s hard to balance it all but I miss the days I would type poetry and share it here.
SO for the entire month of April, I plan to share a poem on my instagram. They may be old favorites, they may be new ones.
I’m also hoping to go live with some of my friends on here, and I have been reciting poetry on TikTok as well.
If you would like for me to write a poem about how you’re feeling while we get thought this crazy time together, please follow this link.
Good luck with the book writing, perfect time to cost up and write it out. Silver linings right!!
Stay safe, be well.
